AIDAHO Lecture and Certificate Ceremony – Insightful Perspectives on Germany as an AI Hub  [22.10.24]

Last Friday, AI expert Judith Peterka spoke about Germany's AI policy as part of the AIDAHO program and gave an outlook on the human-centric design of artificial intelligence.

In the age of ChatGPT, Dall-E and beautiful.ai, more and more questions are being asked about the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and how it can be well integrated into our society.

How can and will AI be promoted in Germany? What is the current state of the AI ecosystem in the country? And what will the future of human-machine interaction look like? These and other questions were addressed by Judith Peterka in her thought-provoking lecture on Friday. She demonstrated that Germany is already on a promising path and has great potential in the field of AI education. However, there is still a lack of AI startups and access to high-quality data for training AI models.

Judith Peterka currently serves as an advisor for "Digital Policy and AI" at the Federal Chancellery and previously headed the "Observatory for Artificial Intelligence in Work and Society" at the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. As a result, she has extensive knowledge in this area and was able to provide interesting insights into the topic.

Before the lecture, the new graduates of the AIDAHO program were ceremoniously awarded their certificates. Graduate Florian found the event particularly successful, stating: "I was very happy to receive my certificate in such a festive setting and believe that the skills I have learned will greatly benefit me in the future — for example on the job market."

On behalf of the entire project team, we would like to congratulate the students on this award and wish them great success and all the best for the future.

The AIDAHO Lecture takes place every semester and complements the course program with lectures by experts from disciplines such as law, ethics, and sustainability. Participants have the opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge and make valuable connections for their future careers.
