The KIM is offering a 2-part online training on April 17th and 18th, 2024, for getting started with high-performance computing in Baden-Württemberg (bwHPC). This event is aimed at HPC-interested students, doctoral candidates, and employees from all disciplines who wish to implement their compute and/or data-intensive simulations and computing projects on high-performance computers in the future.
Part 1 "Learning Linux: Getting Started with High-Performance Computing" will take place on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, and is aimed at absolute beginners. It will explain basic commands with Linux, such as creating, copying, and moving files, assigning rights, and creating first scripts in an editor. Additionally, it will show how to proceed step by step from the application submission to the start on the high-performance computer bwUniCluster.
