AIDAHO at the Young European Parliament! [09.05.25]
On May 9 - Europe Day - over 150 school students were able to take on the role of EU representatives in the Baden-Württemberg state parliament. This year, AIDAHO participated in the Young European Parliament and prepared this year's main topic covering the “EU AI Act”.
In an engaging simulation game organized by the Young European Federalists (JEF), school students from all over Baden-Württemberg were able to experience how politics is made. They discussed European legislation and simulated the EU Parliament with political factions and committees.
The topic of the discussion: the EU AI Act. The Act was adopted by the European Union (EU) in 2024 and is one of the first comprehensive regulations on artificial intelligence (AI) worldwide. As a result, the opportunities, risks and possible areas of application of AI were debated in parliament. The aim was to find a solution that both ensures the safety of citizens and promotes innovation.
With this cooperation, AIDAHO is committed to sensitizing young people to the use of AI at an early stage and providing them with skills in this area - even before they start their university studies.
