Recap: AIDAHO at the Open Day - Getting to know AI with sweets [08.07.25]
On July 5, visitors were invited to the campus of Hohenheim for the annual Open Day. Enjoying midsummer temperatures and a wide range of fun activities, those interested had the opportunity to get to know the different degree programs and countless activities of the University. This year, the AIDAHO team once again presented its program and offered a playful approach to AI.
In PC room 2, visitors had the opportunity to learn all about the AIDAHO project and could inform themselves about the individual modules. This offer was well received by interested students. Moreover, there was the opportunity to playfully train artificial intelligence for image recognition with the help of different sweets and a camera. The kids in particular developed extremely creative ideas and showed a keen interest in this emerging technology. Needless to say, this was just a small preview of what students can expect in the certificate program.
The AIDAHO project
The BMFTR-funded AI & Data Science Certificate Hohenheim (AIDAHO) project is a certificate program initiated by the Computational Science Hub (CSH). Students from all three faculties at the University of Hohenheim can learn essential skills in the fields of AI, data science and scientific computing alongside their studies.
