AIDAHO Lecture: Cybersecurity in focus at certificate award ceremony  [23.04.24]

Given the numerous conflicts worldwide, the development of innovative technical solutions, tools and methods to protect cyber security is a key task of the Central Office for Information Technology in the Security Sector (ZITiS) in Munich.

A few days ago, two men were arrested in Bavaria on suspicion of having committed espionage on behalf of Russia, which once again shows how relevant the work of security authorities currently is.

Last Friday, Dr. Sarah Schmid-Nürnberg (ZITiS) was invited to Hohenheim. She gave this semester's AIDAHO Lecture on the topic of digital sovereignty in the security sector. The audience gained a variety of insights into the challenges of developing a cyber security strategy for Germany. Furthermore, the fields of activity for data scientists and AI experts in the authority were presented.

Afterwards, 12 graduates of the AIDAHO program were officially awarded their certificates. On behalf of the entire project team, we would like to congratulate the students on this achievement and wish them all the best for the future.

The AIDAHO lectures take place once a semester and complete the project's range of courses with presentations by practicing experts. Participants have the opportunity to acquire comprehensive knowledge and establish contacts for their future careers.
