No way arround this topics

AI and machine learning are no longer up in the air. Whether searching for series on streaming platforms or browsing social media - algorithms accompany us through everyday life. A basic understanding of these technologies is the prerequisite for being able to understand, classify and shape digital trends. Data literacy is THE core competency of the 21st century. It is the basis for dealing competently with the large amounts of present data (Ludwig & Thiemann, 2020). In the AIDAHO program, participants learn the necessary tools to implement projects with Big Data.

Have a career in the ‚sexiest Job of the 21st century’?

The demand for data scientists and their skillset is high. In many parts of our society, important decision making is based on Big Data. According to Business Insider there is a great need for data scientists to understand data and make it accessible to everyone (Rudnick, 2022). The AIDAHO program prepares students for these challenges and thus opens a path to a career in the 'sexiest job of the 21st century' (Davenport & Patil, 2012).

AI, Data Science & research methods

In science, the usage of computer-aided methods is becoming more and more important to process and analyze big data sets. These methods can be used in a variety of scientific field for instannce in the optimization of agricultural processes, the analysis of social media communication, the prediction of economic processes and many more.

The AIDAHO program is an initiative by the Computational Science Hub (CSH). The CSH is a joint venture of researchers at the University of Hohenheim which aims at intensifying the exchange and cooperation across faculties and institutes to concentrate (combine) domain knowledge and methodological expertise in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), data science as well as scientific computing.
